Home Theater Sub Rattling?

My HT subwoofer recently started rattling and I was wondering of there was a way of fixing it. The sub is not blown but I can hear some rattling near the top of the enclosure. It is a downward firing sub and has the driver at the very bottom, with the rattling coming near the top. What could it be? If something is loose, could wood/superglue permanently or temporarily fix it?

If the driver's mounting screws are accessible, you could remove them, carefully removing the woofer, to inspect the interior of the cabinet.
If you find something loose, yes glue it, restoring it to its original position. Rattling can be caused also by the voice coil rubbing in the magnet's gap, but that doesn't seem to be you case. Push the cone gently, with 3 or 4 fingers, so the cone travels straight, then release. You shouldn't hear noise from rubbing. Another reason may be magnetic particles that fell within the gap during assembly, and rub against the voice coil. The gap is not accessible, so there is no fix for this.
