2007-2003 Element. and 2005-2007 Jeep. I'm getting a 4wd, not for off road, but for snow. tell me about these cars please. No toyota or other car requests. thanks.

i'd think a jeep which is more heavy duty. hondas do have transmission problems, but check into that. check out carcomplaints.com to check out any issues other owners have with their cars. look into their specs..

I have had many Hondas in my life and as had my family but we have also owned many other types, i have a big family, and Jeep was one of them . My uncle works fixing Hondas, and my other works at a major dealership as a mechanic. All i can tell you is that they are the hands down most reliable cars!!! They are great!

The jeep we had, sometimes had problems, and we just didn't like it as much. The Jeep was not terrible But honestly i have never had one complaint about any Honda I had!

Id say the Jeep Grand Cherokee because it is bigger and more powerful. The Element isnt a bad car buy the suicide doors could get annoying

Even as an owner, I would not rely on the Honda Element's real-time 4WD system, since it is engaged passively, with no driver intervention at all. It only engages when the wheels slip, and disengages as soon as the wheels are all turning at the same speed. In my experience, I would put it this way. Honda's 4WD will try to keep you from getting stuck, but it won't get you UN-stuck. The frequent on-off of the passive system will likely spin you into a bigger mess in the snow.

If you were dealing with a great deal of snowfall, I would trust the active 4WD system on the Jeep more.
