Honda Jazz and 17 inch wheels... coilover issues?

Due to the credit cruch, I am downgrading from a Honda Civic to a Honda Jazz. I want to fit the 17 inch wheels from my Civic to my Jazz, but I want to fit coilovers to my Jazz. Would such a setup work, and does it present any problems? Thanks.
