At the end of this year (2011) / beginning of 2012 ...2 of us are planning on travelling to USA and visitng lots of places for six months.. we are saving for it at the moment but planning on having £8000 ($12934.55) for flights accom. food travel everything.
Ive had a look at car hire and its mega bucks so pretty much ruled that out ... so what other options are there??.. I've heard breifly of the hound?
I have looked online and got books out of the library and have an idea that we want to go New York area/ Boston etc ..and California area and Florida ....and any other places anybody can suggest for us ? Neither or us have ever been to the US and I cannot wait to go Im so excited!.
Another thing is accomodation ... we are looking at staying in motels/ hostels really cheap travellers places!! but whilst we are out there how would we find these?
Is it a good idea to take the big old backpack travelling bag ?
We are also thinking of doing a month with trek america around may which would cost about £1600 do you think this is a good idea? I just think they would really cram lots in as thy know where to goetcwheeras us on our own for the other 5 months may take days to do something but they could do it in a day ... ??
We are also willing to work here and there if need be ...I'd like to do something outside on the beach or something (seeing as were from England the only job you get outdoors you get drenched in rain ...not fun ) but my partner in crime wouldnt mind working in macyds as they want free maccyds every day haha!!
But yeah in short im just looking for any and every bit of info anyone has !!! =D would be very greatful for every answer !! =D
