How can anyone complain about their job in this economy?

I'm in Florida so I have pretty much seen how bad things can really get (foreclosures up and down every block, absolutely no employment opportunities, small businesses going out of business left and right, etc.). Folks should be thankful they still even have a job because in 6 months nobody might have a job. The worst is still yet to come. The recession is still spreading across the U.S. If it hasn't come to your neck of the woods yet, believe me, it will.

It is bad everywhere, massive layoffs are going on all around the country. I agree with you there is a lot of people there complaining about stu...p things like "oh this coworker is a pain, looked at me mean", "my boss is too bossy". Give me a break, there is people killing their families and committing suicide because they lost their jobs, and other still have the nerve to complain. I was laid off twice from 2 companies in the last 6 months, and I am not even complaining!

You could give people free money and they would complain.

Because companies are using the economy as an excuse to lay off a bunch of their staff and load the work onto the remaining people because they know they can get away with it. Believe me, we feel very badly for those who lost their jobs, but those of us still here know that our jobs will now be permanently changed, and we won't get paid any more for doing two or three times as much. People aren't being paid anywhere near what they're worth, and "be happy you have a job" is the stock line they keep feeding us. It's a lousy situation for both sides. The recession is everywhere, my dear, no area is immune to its wrath. Most people will remain employed, but they will be buried in work with reduced salaries.
