I have been rent this apartment for half year through easte agent. and i will still rent this flat for one more year. this flat is using carpet in the bathroom. and i found it is very unhygienic and hard to keep it clean. But i don't know how to convince my landlady to use tiles instead of carpet . and we contact by email through easte agent. and anyone help me write a letter??

You can ask but its not a matter that would be a priority.

It may only achieve the fact that your landlady considers you a nuisance.

You have rights, if you can prove that carpet is not a suitable in a sanitary envirnment. The environmental health inspector from your council will be able to take samples for testing of unsafe levels of bacteria in the flooring, but more interestingly, the council will be more than curious as to why your landlady has not declared a rented house for application, complete with rent-book and proof of tennancy. Double-whammy. Trouble is, you might have to move, as it could forfeit contract.
