how can i convince my dad to let me get a dog?

okay my dad always said this "once we LIVE in a house you guys can have a dog" so yup were living in a house now yup his moms... i know times r tough and my dad is kinda of a loser. i dont get a long with him at all i hate my dad. but i really want this dog. and no im not a brat i been through a lot im not gonna put down here this isnt my diary but my dad is the type of dad who has to have everything his way. and i mean everything i asked him if i can join tennis and he said " NO and dont ask any question about it my decision is final" he didnt give me time to explain the pros and cons about playing tennis i just simply asked "hey dad can i paly tennis" and i got crushed. so how can i ask him with out getting shut down at least have him think about it. p.s if it matters i dont think it does but im getting a labrador retreiver who is 9 months or a siberian husky who is 10 months soooooo help please?!oh and dont tell me stuff like "oh well taking care of a dog is a big resposibllity yeah thanks i know i take good care of my pets we have a bird who has been alive thank god for three years now. so your not my parents so pleasssse dont give me that lecture.
 
Wait til ur bday or Xmas and say all u want is a dog and give them no other options. Also shed a few tears. Worked for me
 
It's his house and if he doesn't want a dog then there's nothing you can do about it. Get a dog when you are on your own.
