How can i cover up the smell of cigarette smoke?

I live in a house with 3 other students, one of them smokes.
She smokes outside all the time but the top of the stairs and entrance to my room stinks, she lives next door.
I like keeping my door open but its becoming unbearable, lighting candles dosnt seem to make much difference.
Please help. My room stinks....
