How can I customize my T Mobile Sidekick?

I used to have a Sony Ericsson thin flip, and when I broke for the third time, I gave up and decided that I was going to order a phone off the internet. I got an unlocked sidekick 3, so I could use my AT&T sim card with it.

On my Sony, I set pictures as backgrounds, and had custom ringers, but it said nothing in the manual about how to do it, if it could be done, so I'm stuck using the preset backgrounds and ringers they had on the phone, which aren't me at all.

well you can

- buy the usb cord for the sidekick so u can put your own pictures to use on it

because i used to have 2 unlocked sidekicks, i used to have the slide and the id and used my aT&t sim card, the only thing thats bad about unlocked sidekick is no internet, no i.m., less customization options to since you dont have internet to buy backgrounds and ringtones unless you have the usb cord, so basically without the usb if you wan't to set your own pictures and stuff, your out of luck. hope this helped
