How can I effectively cover the sensor on a Directv receiver?

I have multiple receivers and want to use my remote to activate only one and not all of them. I've tried taping cardboard, duct tape, and tinfoil to the sensor, but when I use the remote, it still activates all the receivers. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to go about blocking the sensors...it would be greatly appreciated.
I forgot to say in my original post, but I want to be able to easily remove whatever I block the receiver with in order to choose which one I use my remote with.
 
You can't. Unless you put unit inside a lead-lined closed box. Both Infrared & RF is used.
