How can I find an Ireland travel group?

How can I find some kind of an Ireland travel group that I can go on alone at age 17? Preferably one that allows you plenty of time to explore on your own?
By saying "alone", I am saying with out an adult. Which you covered in your answer, so it was clearly a good thing to add.

I posted it once on the United States Yahoo!Answers, and once on the United Kingdom Yahoo!Answers. That is why it is posted twice.

Have you checked out Paddywagon tours?

Otherwise just take the trains and buses to the various places, and have directions on how to get from the bus stop or station to your accommodation.

By definition being part of a group you are not "alone" you are part of the herd so to speak. Most travel groups or tours only give you an hour or 2 to explore before moving on for lunch and then the next part of the tour. Either you want to backpack on your own (as your other questions mention) or you go as part of a group and join in with the other members of the party. I imagine most tours would need a 17 year old to be accompanied by an adult for insurance purposes to be honest. Also if the group went out for a meal you would have to leave at 9pm if the restaurant/pub is licenced.

You are posting your questions twice by the way, try giving it a few minutes to show before posting again? Sometimes it takes a while if Y!A is busy.
