How can I get my Molly fish to Mate?

I have too molly fish. one is a female and one is a male. everytime the male tries to mate with the female, the female just swims away and the male chases her around. why is this? how can i make them mate?
 
thats what they usually do, maybe shes young and needs a while to mature? try waiting or getting another female and/or male in the mean time :)
 
Usually 1 male is put with 3 females. If there are less females, the male will chase her all the time and she will be constantly stressed. That could make her susceptible to illness. However, it's pretty likely that the male is occasionally successful with the female you have.
