I moved to Manhattan not long ago from the west coast. My parents and sister came here on what was supposed to be a visit. They came here shortly after I got the place to see it and see New York and now they've been here for several weeks at my place and they simply won't leave. I've given indications and have tried to tell them that I would like them to leave now. I think they like it here and are also worried about me being on my own. How can I get them to leave without hurting their feelings?
I have a small place in Upper West Side Manhattan and I would like to invite some friends over, including perhaps a boyfriend but its too weird to have them over with my parents and sister cramped up here with me. They've always been so over-protective and worrisome. What should I do?
