How can I get the best possible picture from my Directv satellite box.?

It's just a regular old Directv box, not DVR or HD. It has a Coax output, Composite outputs, and S-Video outputs. My TV has HDMI, Composite, Component, RGB, and Coax inputs. I don't mind buying an adapter. What should I use to get the best possible picture?
 
Use an A/V to HDMI converter cable, Composite outputs on the receiver to HDMI input on the TV.
