I have my own PC that I bought along with WinXP. The WinXP is legal, and the serial code I have.
In one of our recent many earthquakes, my PC was damaged and I had to buy a new HD, mine kept clunking
I've installed Ubuntu on it, and I have my WinXP disc and the code. I have also partitioned the HD. However whenever I try to boot off the CD it either takes me to a 'grub' screen?? Or loads directly off the HD, Ubuntu.
When I'm in Ubuntu I can see the WinXP files on the CD, so I know its there, recognising the disc, reading it and all..
Can anyone help? Yes, I'd like to keep Ubuntu on the smaller partition (which I have now), and the other partition is ..LTNS or something?? I forget the letters heh, but it is the bigger partition and all ready. But I need windows as I cant do many things on Ubuntu that I need to do. (For example, my daughters school homework site requires windows.)
