my internet is currently running around 55-60 mbps. i have a wireless adapter thing that plugs into my usb; my dad has all the linsys equipment and his internet runs at 100 mbps. he never uses the internet, but i do, and i want to put all his equipment in my room. the thing is though, we also have vonage which connects the phone through our internet and i don't think i can put the vonage device in my room because i don't have a phone line in my room. sorry, i'm not an expert at computer networking but i know a little and i'd like to know how i can make my internet faster without having to move all the equipment, or if i can still move it somehow without a phone line in my room.
