Ive been with my boyfriend for nearly 4 years now, we are 18 nealry 19 and the relationship just isnt going anywhere. We see eachother fairly often, most of the time only a couple hours at a time due to work and university, however a couple hours is better than nothing. The thing is, we don't live together (both live with parents) we very rarely stay at eachothers houses, he say we're too young to get married, and have children (which i do understand) but i really need to feel we are going somewhere. i have talked to him about this and he says its difficult (this is onyl because he is very much a mummys boy) he wont ask for me to move in and wont move in at my house. I just need this to go somewhere. We are now always falling out when we see eachother and its getting to the point where i dont want to see him as we will fall out and it shouldnt be like this!! I love him so much and i know he loves me, but something needs to happen for me to be happy again as i feel we're going to be in this for years yet in the same situation we are now and i cant handle that!!!
Another thing.... In 4 years he has only ever paid fo a meal once for me and never treats me to anything other than birthdays and christmas. I dont know how to get it into his head that being a boyfriend means you need to treat your girl every now and again!! Dont get me wrong i dont want him buying stuff and paying all the time.. just occasionally would be nice.
Is there any help anyone can give me on moving this forward as i dont think i can stay in this rutt much longer!! And i dont want to lose him as i love him so much
