How can I NOT be Jealous in my relationship?

ok. so i'd been talking to this guy for a while now. and its been a week since he asked me to be his girlfriend. Ok...well it hasnt even been a while, and already im finding reason to doubt. He has a bestfriend and she's a girl, they hang out quite a bit, and i don't know, but i think i get a lil' jealous. And i mean i have NO reason to be, cause my bestfriend is a guy, so...yeah! He's already told me he's not the "JEALOUS" type. I try really hard to NOT be all "jealous" for every lil' thing and I DONT WANT to be the "clingy" type either, I REALLY DO TRY SO HARD!! ;( [..it pisses me off that i always gotta ruin things for myself!] And i don't want to take him away from his friends and having fun and all... i dont know what to do!! SOMEONE HELP!! I WANT TO KNOW HOW I CAN NOT BE THE "JEALOUS TYPE"!!

I think your doing quite well. Yes you do feel jealous but as long as you keep it under control and keep things in perspective then it shouldn't be a problem. If you start to get jealous then i would advise calming down and looking at the situation from an outsiders point of view, or even his point of view.
Also talk to him. Let him know that you cant help but feel jealous sometimes, but then reassure him that you wont let it affect the relationship. If he knows how you feel then he should do little things to re assure you from time to time which in turn will help you feel less jealous.
