How can I persuade my Dad to let my boyfriend sleep over?

He has slept before, but just recently my Dad hasn't allowed him to for no reason at all. We are in a long term relationship and are grown up.

I don't want the usual answer to this question which tends to be 'he is your father, you should listen to him'.
Ive read a lot of these types of questions and everyone seems to be on the parents side.

I just need him to sleep over because i love the feeling of him next to me at night and i love waking up next to him.. so can anyone help?

P.s im not putting my age as it has nothing to do with it. im not a silly little 15/16 year old. (im older)

Well, if you can't get round your dad for hi to sleep at yours, why don't you explain that to your boyfriend and ask if you can go to his?

Well if ur 18 or older just say...Dad come on im 18 (or w/e age u r)..im and adult..i can make desicions for myself. and ik wht im doing. im not a little kid anymore. Let him know tht.
