How can I remove the pop-up "This computer is being attacked" with a wand...

...on its left side corner? I have tried several times to get rid of it but i often failed. I also tried to download the avast home edition in the utorrent but it always keep saying to give the key even though it is free and has the key. How can i get rid of this virus or worm or what so ever... I just want this thing out of my pc without having my pc reformat.

I would recommend Avira Antivirus ( http://www.download.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html ). The program is free, however it asks you to upgrade to the full version every time that it updates. This can easily be fixed by following the instructions here ( http://www.elitekiller.com/files/disable_antivir_nag.htm ). In my experience this program offers better experience than AVG and Avast so this step is well worth the trouble. The program works well using just the default settings, but it will do the job better and faster by using these recommended settings ( http://prometechus.blogspot.com/2007/09/viruses-spyware.html#avira ).

In addition to a good antivirus, you also need an antispyware. I would recommend Spyware Doctor Starter Edition ( http://www.download.com/Spyware-Doctor-Starter-Edition/3000-8022_4-10704508.html ). Once again, default settings are fine, but you can find recommended setting here ( http://prometechus.blogspot.com/2007/09/viruses-spyware.html#sdoctor ).

Both programs are free and work great together. Once they are installed, and configured (If you choose to do so), run full scans with both programs. This should fix your problem, and offer optimal protection for you from here on out.
