There are several people in my area selling used copies of SC2. They all claim that the cd key is unused. One has offered to meet somewhere with wifi so I can associate the cd key to my account.
Is that enough to confirm that he didn't link it to his? I figure battle.net does one of the following:
*It only lets you register the cd key with a single account and will tell me if it's been used already
*It will let you associate it with multiple accounts and only block someone when it's already in use at that moment.
Does anyone know which it is? My fear is that, say, I buy it from "Tom", but Tom has already been playing online. Since he's not playing when we meet, I successfully link it to my bnet account. Later, when I log off, he logs on and never logs off again, so I never regain access to bnet. Is that possible? Or can you only link a cd key to a single account in the first place? Thanks!!
