How Can I stop Programs accessing Internet (I am Using XP)?

Hi.........

I have Broadband connection but still facing low speed because of this installed softwares and windows update (Hidden)

I have D activated all update but ther are stmanyaney softwares that are using Net.

So i need a simple soft that will stop accessing internet to this soft.pls dont say some kind of firewall coz it each times ask u this and that.even u start a soft it askes and it irritates a lot.

i need a simple,light soft that will do this.

Just download sygate firewall from c/net freedownload.com this software will monitor each and every incoming and outgoing movement.
