How can I take care of a stray cat and her kittens?

I feed a lot of strays around my apartment. I have set up my very small (maybe 8x8ft) back porch to be 'kitty-friendly,' including a cat house I built. Today I noticed that a stray went inside the house and had kittens. My concern is the fact that cats like to move their kittens around. While she is perfectly safe on my back porch, my apartment complex is a nightmare for cats. Tons of kids love to chase the cats and throw things at them (I've done my best to handle the situation, but the little brats don't care about anything). I'm wondering what I can do to keep her on my back porch, where she will be safe, until her kittens are old enough to be adopted (or at least old enough to escape when in danger). I am open to any and all suggestions! I'm very worried as I have no clue how soon after giving birth she will decide to move her kittens elsewhere.
