How can someone only like rap and country?

I listen to a lot of genres; including a bit of both these two. But I know a lot of people who JUST like rap and country. I mean I can see liking one genre or something, but those two are so far across the spectrum from each other it just doesn't make sense to me. Can someone give an explanation?
