How can you make an ad hoc network with sprint mobile broadband?

I connect using Sprint Mobile broadband and I'd like to make an ad hoc wireless network so I can connect my DS to the internet. Any ideas how? My laptop has a Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band WLAN MiniPCI card. I've searched everywhere, but kept getting confused.
