that any pagan religion? why does those two religion have more prophecies come true than any pagan religion that ever was?
pagans don't even have any vague prophecies that come true. lol
you shouldn't listen to that Harvey J. Fields guy.

There are no prophecies in Christianity that have not come true.....at all! Only ones that have or haven't happened yet.

Name even one prophecy in either OT or NT that came true outside of either - and is unambiguous in what happened, what was supposed to happen, and was properly witnessed.

When a prophecy in the OT "comes true" in the NT, that cannot be counted since the accuracy of the Bible has not been adequately demonstrated. Further, it would be obviously self-serving for the authors of the Bible to enumerate fulfilled prophecies whether they happened or not.

What YOU need is a healthy dose of skepticism.

And yet you can't name one that has been proved beyond contrivance and conjecture.

What does that say about you?

Watch these documentaries and tell me about how there's not that much pagan prophecies coming true. All groups have had prophecies come to light and some that didn't. Just because you've never heard of it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. These doc. is about 2012 and that prophecy but it mentions a bunch that have come to light.

Because only the prophets whose prophesies actually came to pass are included in the Hebrew Bible. There were many prophets in those days. Why include false prophets in the Bible?

The Christian Bible (NT) was written long after the prophesies of the Hebrew Bible. It really doesn't take a scholar to create a "fulfillment" story after the fact!

"A prophet never foretells 'a fixed, unchangeable future.' Prophets do not predict what will happen tomorrow. Instead, 'they announce a present that requires human choice and decision.' It is a present 'in which the future is being prepared' but whose outcome depends upon the work and decisions of human beings." Philosopher Martin Buber, quoted from "A Torah Commentary for our Times" by Harvey J. Fields
.

Well as far as I know pagan relgions don't have prophecies unless you are talking about the tarot readings that pagans do... in which case they probably have more prophecies come true than the christian bible... however christian prophecies are guranteed while pagan prophecies are not.

Actually, prophecy is pretty easy in hindsight. The oracle at Delphi, according to its own PR, had a much more impressive track record then either Judaism or Christianity.

Edit: You show your ignorance. Not only did the Oracle at Delphi have a millennium and a half track record of making prophecies, but the Sybil of Cumae supposedly accurately predicted the future of Rome from Kingdom to Republic to Empire. It was a prophecy that told King Byzantius where to found his city, a city that would become one of the most important Christian cities for a thousand years. And common English words for prophecy, like augury, comes from Etruscan mysticism.

However, your critique of vagueness regarding pagan prophecy is justified, but in that it is just like biblical prophecy, the vague wording means it can be back engineered into history whenever and however you want.

perhaps there is something true in those religions.. and Judaism is also following Christianity for some extent so there you have the answer but that's too uncomfortable for many to believe it's true

They haven't.

Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Moshiach (Messiah) because the following have not been fulfilled (at one time on Earth - no second chances!):

* The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)
* Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)
* The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
* He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10)
* The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with "fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2)
* Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)
* Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)
* He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)
* All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)
* Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)
* There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)
* All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)
* The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)
* He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)
* Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5)
* The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)
* The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)
* Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)
* The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot
* He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)
* Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)
* He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)
* He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9).
