how come Paul left prophecy for proof to believers, but tongues as proof to

unbelievers? And since we only have prophecy today, does that mean that Paul doomed the Atheists of this generation and forward?

22Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.



And as people say, since we have the NT now, all the prophecies were written down for the believers.

I do not believe we have prophecy today. There is nothing that isn't already in the Bible that you cannot tell me will happen. It already says it will happen.
Tongues are proof to unbelievers because when we speak in tongues we do not know what we are saying. It is for edification of our souls. In the book of Acts many were converted once they heard people speaking in tongues. Simon the sorcerer sought to "buy" the gift of tongues. It is a powerful thing that can never be taken from us. Ever.
