How come Republicans constantly get accused of "protecting special interests" yet
people make excuses for Dems? Chris Dodd (the guy who wrote the financial reform bill Democrats are trying to pass) has been around just about every shady piece of Wall Street legislation that has come out of Congress for his entire career.
Yet, it would seem people are more willing to make excuses for Democrats and give them the benefit of the doubt?? Why???
For instance: If Chris Dodd was a Republican and had done all the same things in his career, Democrats would call this current bill a sham and would claim Dodd can't be trusted.
