How come sci-fi shows are never nominated for anything beyond SFX awards...

...at the Emmys? There were some great performances in the likes of Caprica and SGU. Why only a SFX nomination?
Judging by the quality of the first answer I can see why those shows get nominated ahead of sci-fi shows.
 
Anyone who says qualify -- Grey's Anatomy gets loads of Emmys, give me a break. Battlestar Galactic certainly deserved them over that trash. The Academy just hates sci-fi. It's simple prejudice. It's slightly better now than it used to be since sci-fi has become more mainstream. They hated The Wire, Oz, and Homicide too so I've always felt justified in despising the Emmys.
