just wanted to know, i downloaded a torrent for a movie and i looked at my harddrive space and it decreased by a few GB's is this bad? or is this normal
no i know that, i mean i stop the download but i dont get space back
sorry if i wasnt exactly clear on that
Well when you download a torrent you download a file. Files are bytes of information that is stored on your hard drive. Your hard drive can only hold X amount of bytes. So as you download more files your HDD's size decreases.
Also movies tend to be larger then files then word documents or smaller applications because of there length and formatting. So it is not unusual to drop a couple gigs on a movie.
That's because when you downloaded the torrent it started the download of the movie itself. You can always delete the movie later to get the GBs back once you've watched it =) But yes, it is normal.
