or the ontological or any of the others?
If the cosmological argument has flaws and holes in it please point them out.
Thank you for helping me.

The argument from universal causation is flawed because it is dependent upon assumptions and magic... It is BASED upon the idea that there MUST be a "Creator" and that is not a place for any Scientific Theory to start off at.

This is William Lane Craig's argument:
1 Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
2 The universe began to exist.
3 Therefore, the universe has a cause.
4 This cause is the God of Classical Theism, and is a personal being, because He chose to create the universe.

This is a fiction on par with the story of Jona and the

P1: Everything that begins to exist has a cause
This premise is derived from Newtonian physics. It is fair to say that Newton was right in his physics, but it’s not a complete picture. Although in Newtonian physics the premise is right, in quantum mechanics it is not. Quantum mechanics has a-causal components. Therefore it is not true that everything that begins to exist has a cause.

Well there are a lot of videos online of atheists addressing them. Like this user for instance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD9MtIma5YU (Addressing the Cosmological argument)

You can also find various counter arguments at sites like these.

The cosmological argument is fraught with holes.

"If the cosmological argument has flaws and holes in it please point them out."

1. Modern theoretical physics and quantum physics both have shown causality not to be an argument for the existence of anything.
2. It's at best a deist argument, not a theist one, but even that isn't wholly true. A theoretical "first cause" could literally be anything, and certainly doesn't have any evidence to show it is or was a God.
3. If everything needs a cause so does the God proponents of this theory believe in. Otherwise God is an aberration of their universe and unable to interact with it.

See? Fraught with holes. Hence, why people don't really assert the beliefs of Plato as literal interpretations, anymore. He's a philosopher on the condition of life, not a prophesier of universal existence.

The cosmolgical argument fails as physics now shows us that a first cause is not necessary. Read Krauss or Hawking if you wish to have the details explained reasonably simply.

Arguments are not evidence...

Just arguments... how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

I could argue that Cerberus actually exists too... doesn't prove squat...

IMHO

even though this sounds like a christian asking this, cosmo-pologic-ation-alis-matic exista-tion-ous plas-tical-asmia-triu-matrix-is-ional, this is a good trick to play on atheists also
