How do Google news alerts handle overlapping interests?

I only started using them a couple months ago. But say I want to be updated on both the LHC and anything relating to the Higgs boson, and a story stating that the LHC found this particle broke. Would this story be shown to me once covering both interests or would I see this story pop up under both alerts?
