How do I become better at physical fitness (or whatever you call it)?

I'm just naturally un-athletic.
School is just around the corner and I'm very nervous about PE...
I can barley do two push ups, it takes me 14+ minutes to jog a mile, I can't bend down and touch my toes, etc. Oh the horror!

I'm around 5'7" 120lbs (oh no! is that overweight? pwease be average!)

Anyways, some tips and suggestions would be very much appreciated! I want to improve before school starts. Being able to run the mile in 10 or less minutes has always been a goal of mine XD

Don't suggest going to the gym because I can't.
And don't suggest going for a jog outside. I dun think this is good jogging weather: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/85001

To sum it all up:
I suck at exercising and I want to be better. Give me some tips, advice, and suggestions.

And if you couldn't tell, I'm a girl. (I don't know if gender matters in this kind of situation...)
