how do i change the save type of a torrent?

i tried to download something off of the pirate bay in the past ((i know...one song..im so bad)) and i put to save it to itunes. now every torrent i download goes straight to itunes and i never actually get it. it pretty much saves as an itunes file. is there any way to fix this?
 
you need to unde3rstand how torrents work. most often you downlaod a torrent which is basiclaly a link to a seeder, doesnt' relaly matter where it goes as long as your torrent program recognizes it to open the link/library. you right click on it and use 'open with' then browse for or select yoru torrent program to open it. the 'save as ' ('type', as in your question) isn';t even necessary here.
