my sister is with eon for her electric and gas, she has a faulty gas meter which eon is refusing to come out and check, she has a 3yr old daughter, she can no longer afford to have the heating on as the gas meter is taking £25 every 4 days she rang eon up today and the woman promptly had a go at my sister and told her she has no right having the heating on for more than 4hrs a day because the woman herself doesnt, and told my sister that she was not going to send anyone out to look at the meter, a man from eon (or so my sister thought) has been coming round with a key telling her that eon is doing a promotion for cheap electric so my sister gave him her money and he put electric on her meter, she told eon this and they said that they had thousands of customers who had the same problem that she will have to pay it back, my sister said she wont pay it back as its not her fault as he had the eon id, the van, uniform and everything, they told her they dont care and she will pay it back, my sister said no and now they are starting to threaten her, she is sat at home scared to leave the house incase she does and they come and cut her gas and electric supply off, what can she do? she is on income support and they have told her they are unwilling to do anything to do anything to help her, she gave them permission to talk to me and i tried to talk to them and i got the same response, although they know its not the customers fault they will still make the customer pay the electric back and they will not do anything about the meter although i know its faulty, she is desperate for help and is freezing cold
