How do I connect my Motorola Q to the PC?

I installed the USB driver but it keeps saying that the hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software.

I don't have the CD-ROM what can I do?
I can install the USB driver successfully but when I connect the phone using a usb it does not work

what u would do is install ure disc before plugging your phone into your computer.. if not you will continue to get error messages..

I think motorola requires the motorola phone tools, in order to use the phone. I have used motorola, and didn't like them at all, so went with a samsung a900, it has a feature to connect to the pc, using the "mass storage device" option, in the phone, no drivers required. Check the motorola website, they'd have answers for ya.
