Doesnt necessarily have to be to avi just any acceptable common form of media, thanks!
 
xvid is a video codec library and avi is a file type. Two entirely different things. Most avis are xvid.

it seems legit, and it is opensource, which means the likeliness of it having a virus is next to none and even if it does it will be a thousand times easier to remove.
 
Download Free Studio Manager from DVDVideoSoft.com

It can convert almost anything
 
I would try Prism Video Converter. It's by NHC and it's free so give it a try. Hope it helps.
