I have this DVD copy of a musical I performed in last year but I eventually have to give it back to the person who recorded it. I'm trying to make a copy but the files won't save to my computer so I can burn a new disk. They're read only which I'm assuming is what the problem is. Is there any way around this? I really want to have a copy of my own performance. They are all .BUP and .IFO files.

Read only simply means that the disk has been finalised to prevent further writing to it, standard practice for DVD movies.
Use a DVD ripper* to get the files on to your PC, then burn them.

You will have to change your permissions to the DVD so the contents are not read-only.
