How do I delete my AOL account?

I created an AOL account today for AIM but I realized I don't want/ need it. How can I delete AIM and AOL. (I already uninstalled AIM's software off of my computer but the AOL account still remains intact) Is there any way for me to delete the account without having to call in? The account is free.
