How do I download e-books off of a torrent website and load them into my kindle?

I know theirs a few things that I am missing and I want to know before I start randomly downloding books. For instance, what format does it go in? And once I download it, is it as easy as dragging and dropping into my kindle once it is connected to my computer?

This is all hypothetical of course considering I would never do such a thing...

You can then download one of their many hypothetical e-books for free.
