How do I find an editor and publisher for my novel?

I'm a writer hoping to soon become a full novelist. My first work is mere pages away from being finished and I desperately need a good publisher behind me. It is a dark, philosophical romance novel with action, mystery, and fantasy elements (if that helps). I have a prequel and sequel already in the works and four dozen other book/story ideas. If anyone who actually works with a publishing company reads this, please send me a link or email. Other than that, the advice of previously published and acclaimed authors is greatly appreciated.

You could always self-publish. Thats starting to become more common and that might be the best route to go.

Please help me with my question:

Well, you can self-publish with a self-publisher online, but remember to make sure you edit and revise at least five times or so...Yes, lots of work in a novel, but it will be well worth it.

Most publishers don't even look at unsolicited work, so find yourself an agent first. Mail in your completed manuscript, and if they like it they will find you a publisher.
