it all depends hun whether you on cable or phone line different router for both one for phone line is ADSL cable is DSL hope you got the right one

might be different where you live but you need to know if you cable or phone line

if i were you i would either call the manufacturer of the router or go on their website for information regarding setting it up. a site which may be of use to is port forward.com, they have loads of guides etc. i know its not exactly what you asked but it may get you on your way. another thing you could do is find a forum which helps you set up routers. google things like '*manufacturer* *model* installation. good luck
