how do i fix the question marks in the texting boxes of my nokia 6555?

somethimes when i go to text someone instead of there being the boxes to text in there are question marks. I have done everything suggested such as turning the phone on and off taking the sim card out and putting it back in and nothing is helping does anyone have any answers?
