We bought a 2000 toyota sienna used. When you move the vent selector to dash, it comes through the floor instead. The only choice that does not come through the floor is the window/defrost choice. The rest of the time, my wife and I have frigid cold air blowing directly on our feet, which gets uncomfortable quickly (we often wear flip flops or sandals). I'd like to find a guide on how to fix this so I can determine if I want to try to fix it myself, or take it to a mechanic.

It has been a little while, but I believe your climate control is still operated on cables in that year. If you would like to fix it yourself, look up under the center console towards the front of the vehicle. You will probably see a blue wire like cord. It may have popped off or the tiny plastic piece on the lever has broken, either way knowing what is the problem is always best. If it is simple, like popping the cable back on, then you are good to go. But if a piece broke off of the box itself, that may be expensive. Anyway, good luck and feel free to ask me a question anytime :)

Try turning up the Heat.

It sounds like a pushrod or something broke inside the dash. You'll need to tear apart the whole dash and see what's wrong with the Selector.
