How do i fix this font on blackberry messenger?

I have a blackberry curve 8520, the new one with the sensory touch instead of the ball. i got the new blackberry messenger version 5.0 1.41(it's awful). in the middle of a conversation the chat font enlarged about a size randomly, i checked the size in options and its still the same as before. How do i fix this? quite annoying.
