how do i get internet light on motorola modem off red but is hooked up to belkin...

...router? i have a att motorola modem and i bought a belkin play router and hooked it up i ran the cd and everthing is good but my modem internet light stays red and i can connect to the internet on my desktop and my xbox live but when i connect to it on my laptop it connects but wont let me get on internet through router but my xbox is on the router and works fine help please

On mine, the red light means it detects an upstream Internet connection (that's good), but it can't 'log in' to the ISP.
Tether your computer to the modem, open a browser, and type 192.168.1.1 (it may vary a bit), then you find the "Connection" and the slots for your ISP username & password. Fill them in as needed, and make sure to "save" these settings as 'default'...then it should always go back to them if it ever goes down.
