How do I get media player to recognize files on Sandisk mp3 player?

OK. I have 2 Sandisk Sansa m230 (512mb) mp3 players. I am trying to delete and add songs to one of them which I have done before, but for some reason my media player (windows media player 11) says there are no files on the device even though there are. 136 songs to be exact and when media player pulls up the device info at the top, it says I have 18 mb of free space remaining. So...it HAS to be recognizing the files on the device, but when I go to the sync tab, the list of songs does not come up. BUT...on my other mp3 player...the exact same model everything comes up as it should and I am able to add and delete files. Any help?
 
There must be something wrong with the other player if it's not showing up in media player. You should try drag and drop where the player shows up like a drive under My Computer and you can put music files and take music files off of it from there.
