How do I get music off my imac and on to a sony ericsson w580?

I have an imac G4 running 10.3.9. When i plug in the usb cable that came with the phone, nothing happens. I've seen programs for download, but they are all for macs running 10.4 or higher. Any detailed help would be greatly appreciated!

I am pretty sure you're out of luck in terms of supported Operating System.

An easy way to do it though, is to take out your phone's memory card, connect it into a memory card reader ($20 or even less for a cheap one) and transfer your music from your iMac to your phone's memory card.

Once you're done transferring, all you need to do is to pop the memory card back inside your W580 and enjoy your music.

Luk in ur sony box and locate the disc that came with ur fone, install the disc then connect the usb cable to the fone and pc. then open up the suite that the cd installed and that will allow u to transfer, failing that get a card reader for ur mac and then u can just drag and drop the files straight to ur memory card.
