How do I get my wife's name off of my truck loan?

The divorce is almost final, I hear that in order to remove my wife's name from my truck loan, I need to refinance.
I currently have a 1.9% rate, used loans are much higher.
Does anyone know a way around this?
She has no problem releasing her name from the loan.

You HAVE to refinance or get rid of it alltogether. I work at a bank and get this question all the time. They cant just take someones name off of the loan. Yeah, youll most likely be screwed but thats what happens to most men in divorces. Thats why they say its "cheaper to keep her." Good Luck!

The only way to get the company to take her name off is to have your attorney put a motion in the court. The judge will order it if you are both in agreement and once you have it in writing, send it to the company. However, if your wife's credit was used to get the car, they will most likely make you re-finance and or check your credit to make sure you can afford it before they allow anything.
