How do I get pictures from my Samsung Reality to my computer?

I plugged the USB cord that came with my phone to my laptop and this does not work. I DO NOT want to send pictures via email because they charge me for that. How can I get pictures on my phone up to save to My Computer or on the D drive/E drive?
